Check in
Tell someone before you go.
The summit is optional. Coming home isn’t. Every climb, send someone your peak, your route, your trailhead and when you’ll be back. If you’re late, they know exactly where to send help.
Who to send it to
Someone who will notice if you’re late and will make the call. A parent, a partner, a friend at home. Not someone on the climb with you.
When you’re back
This page remembers your trip on this phone. When you’re down, tap I’m back at the bottom of any page and your phone writes the all-clear text.
If you’re overdue
They call 911. Dispatch passes it to the county sheriff, who runs search and rescue in Colorado. Your message tells them where to look.
