Privacy Policy
What Summit Fever Colorado collects, why, and what we never do with it.
If you just read the site
You don’t need an account. Your checklist, quiz answers and check-in plans are saved only in your own browser on your own device. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
If you join Basecamp
We store your email address (to sign you in), your handle and anything you choose to add to your profile, and the reports and photos you post. Your email is never shown to other members and is never sold or shared for marketing. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google, nothing else.
Photos
Photos are shrunk on your device before upload. That also strips hidden data such as GPS location and camera details. Photos on approved reports are public.
Who holds the data
Accounts, reports and photos are stored with Supabase, our database provider, in the United States. The site itself is hosted by Netlify. Weather comes from Open-Meteo, 3D terrain from open map services, and trail videos from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. Those services may see your IP address when your browser loads from them.
No ads, no tracking
We don’t run ads, sell data, or use tracking cookies. Signed-in members get a login token stored in their browser so they stay signed in.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your reports and photos at any time from My reports. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email summitfeverco@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children
Basecamp accounts are for people 13 and older. If we learn a child under 13 has an account, we delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date below and note it in Basecamp.
